Hi!
I'm Helen, and I started my journey as a one-woman business in 2013. I had been chronically ill for one year and not very physically able, so I started crafting to keep me out of mischief and to give me a sense that I could still do something useful.
I was making more than I knew what to do with, so I decided to start selling my wares, thinking it probably wouldn't go too well. It came as a bit of a surprise to me that people actually seemed to like what I was creating and, as an added bonus, I was really enjoying making fabulously funky paraphernalia. So I just kept going.

I still love working with the beautifully soft and wonderfully colourful wool blend felt - I love to surround myself with vibrant colours; it's what drew me to the felt in the beginning. It's lovely stuff! 

I have found that I like the custom orders the best. It's very special and a privilege to be feeding into (usually) a very special occasion in someone else's life, even if it is in a very small way. There also tends to be more back and forth with communications which often means I get to know the customer a bit more, which is really very lovely.
